Wally 6 has been redesigned for Liquid Glass. The result is a lighter app that gives you more room to breathe, with more playful animations and transitions.

Date Features

You can now set a date on your tickets, and an expiration and reminder date on your cards and other expirable items.

Cleaner Design

Wally 5.1 cleans up and simplifies the app design. It aims to keep the classic, skeumorphic design while also making the app cleaner and easier to use.

The new design provides more screen estate, to give your things room to breathe. It also removes most of the onboarding hints, and replaces them with new, easily dismissable panels.

Item types have been adjusted to no longer have any “premium” item types. As such, all types are shown in the menu. You can hide types you don’t use in Settings.

Improved Item Screen

Wally 5.1 cleans up the item screen and makes it easier to manage the information of your things.

You can now edit the front and back image of any already added item, add more information to your things and easily export and delete items directly from the item screen.

More Item Types

Wally 5.1 adds support for IDs, travel documents, and tickets. You can now add identity cards and driver’s licenses that don’t have a card aspect ratio, and add travel and event tickets to the app.

Wally will now use on-device machine-learning capabilities to recognize text in your images when you edit your things.

All recognized text will be added to a convenient popup menu next to the various text fields. Just tap the menu and pick a text to add it to the text field.

This will make it a lot easier for you to add information to your things. Instead of typing text by hand, just tap the menu and pick from any recognized text.

Wally 4.2 added Shortcuts integration that lets you link to items in your wallet from the Shortcuts app. This lets you open your items from any shortcut workflow.

Wally 4.4 will extend this support by generating specific shortcuts for all of your named items. This means that you will be able to open items in your wallet with these kind of trigger phrases:

Show my Amex card in Wally

Show my App Store receipt in Wally

iOS 17 will use machine learning to improve its Siri capabilities. This means that you no longer have to exactly match these phrases. For instance, this will also work:

Open my Amex card in Wally

Biometric authentication will still apply, which means that you must still identify yourself with Face ID or Touch ID when the shortcut opens the app, before the item will be shown.

Wally 4.3 adds a brand new skin to premium users. Denim brings classic, blue denim with yellow stitches to your everyday wallet, and will soon be joined by more denim skins.

You can now add pin and security (CSV/CVC) codes to cards, company and contact information to business cards, and company and amount to receipts.

More actions

You can now copy information from your things, call phone numbers, open an e-mail composer, etc. directly from the item screen.
